Access is a parking lot off of 28N 2 miles west of the Town Hall on Rich Lake Lane. Bear left and go to a parking lot called RIch Lake Access. This is a day use only area. Surrounding area is PRIVATE. The lake is a short diatance from the parking lot. There are no motors allowed so it is a wonderful canoe or kayak trip. Caution: Do not take boats out of the lake except where indicated. THis is a research facility. They do not want people accidentally stumbling into their research plots. There are two portages, over the old dam and near the Santanoni Bridge. There are rapids between Belden Pond and Lake Julia but doable in moderate water. Low water can cause a bit of difficulty. This is another place for two cars, one at each end.
